Question about spark plug wire

The other day i was changing out my spark plugs to some denso iridiums IK20's. Well, when i got to the last spark plug, i pulled the wire, on top of the wire i think its the distributor, the black box looking thingy on top of the spark plug wire
Well when i pulled it, the boot of the wire came off and fell back down towards the spark plug. I had to take the whole valve cover to get that lil SOB out.
My Question is, will this affect anything with the spark? All it is, is the little rubber piece at the bottom of the wire that goes over the spark plug. Should i get another one? And it is the one on the far right side of the valve cover if you are standing over the engine.

PLUGS WIRE

ASSUMING YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT A NEW msp OR mp3, THE WIRE GOES FORM THE PLUG TO THE COIL. THESE CARS DONT HAVE DISTRIBUTORS. THE BOOT ON THE WIRE IS LIKE AN ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR. CONNECTS THE WIRE TO THE PLUG, ON THE OTHER END IT CONNECTS THE PLUG TO THE COIL ( AGAIN, IS ITS A DISTRIBUTORLESS IGNITION) . HOPEFULLY THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. YOU DONT NEED A NEW ONE, AS LONG AS YOU CLEAN IT OFF. HOWEVER, IF THERE ARE MILES ON YOUR CAR AND YOU ARE CHANGING THE PLUGS, YOU MAY WANT TO CONSIDER NEW WIRES, ANYWAY. EVEN BETTER ONES IF YOU ARE PUTTING ON NICE NICE PLUGS TO GO WITH THEM.

sorry about the caps.
i dont know how to fix it
