Alright, I have a few questions;

1. Can a size 17 rim fit the RX8?

2. I am looking for some DOT-rated tires(slicks) for autoX'ing, anyone on here use any?

i'm not sure the pcd of the 17" must be the same as the rx8 i think the standard 18" rim on the 6 speed rx8 is 5/114. ... I know i had the same problem cos i had a mazda 3 with these awesome 17" chromed rims i imported from Mazda Japan and i couldnt let them go when i sold her for my rx8...anyway long story short rims dont fit......
sad very sad

yes, 17's can fit on the rx-8. the base model comes with 16's (it also has smaller brakes).

for a definitve answer, check rx8club.com. i know there are a lot of peope who use 17's for winter and racing.

simma down Roy and i'll answer

yes *most* 17" wheels will clear the 6 speed manual RX-8's front brakes

for example, since you want to use 17's for track use, I believe all 17" SSR wheels will clear the front brakes, as well as compatible with the TPMS sensors.

happy now?? :p

probably want to do a search on RX8club to see which 17's people HAVE confirmed to fit the 8, that way you will know for sure :D
