question about MSP turbo on P5

Wonder what that piece would end up costing. . .maybe that is an option. Maybe it is similar in price to an oil pan, in which case you could buy that and not put a hole in your oil pan. Thoughts?

I can get it, but it won't be untill tomorrow. Otherwise, just call a dealer and ask for the part number for the MBSP (Main Bearing Support Plate) off the MSP.

The MBSP from the dealer will be around $300, compared to the $50 oil pan.
Yes, it was wishful thinking on my part. . .we can all dream.

Do you know that price for sure? I think list on the oil pan is $80-90 or something close to that.

i plan on going with the vortech FMU for now just to have the turbo running.. so which ratio is best? 10:1 or 12:1 .. i read 10:1 is a lil too lean??

Hello??? no reply.. please reply.. i got my turbo stuff already..

oh and if i do the O2 and FMU will it throw a cel?? last thing i want is to have a cel thrown.

i plan on running a 2.5 all the way down. most likely i'll get some new cats in the near future.

you will have CEL:

For, not having cats unless you do the sensor trick

For not recirculating the EGR

Sometimes the CEL may blink...just because you are pushing fuel, but it may go away.

what if i stick with both OEM cats? the cel will still blink ?? so just because of the extra fuel being pushed in, the cel will blink?

so 12:1 or 10:1 i heard from one member already to go for the 12:1 .. i need another opinion to back up please thanks

it MAY do that, very seldom.

It may not even show up for the life of the cat

no! thats the oil return tap for the mbsp section.......for the oil return line. very important part to the msp kit though.

interesting.. haha.. so do i install it on the MBSP?? since all FS engines have it?? or do i really have to get the MBSP from the MSP?
