Question about corksport exaust

Yeah first of all if that guys is not affiliated with corksport then what the hell is going on...? Second, can anyone say the difference after they put a hi-flow cat on the corksport exhaust? and where do you get the bung placed in order to make the cel go away (before or after the cat)?
After the cat.
I'm having a hi-flow cat added on Saturday, i will let you know if the sound changes at all

Not any more. It was amicable but he did offer the occassional opinion that wasn't in line with our thinking.
I see, you guys will continue to support the msprotege though right? I'm guessing ben was the one pushing the products.

thats very unfortunate that ben no longer works there. that throws into serious consideration if i will buy anything else from cs.

I feel somewhat the same now that Corksports says that Ben's opinion wasn't inline with theirs. I wonder if I have been mislead about anything?

Agreed, can you clear anything up for us, mazdmotorhead? Thanks.

Guys,
I had an hi flow cat added to my CS exhaust over the weekend. The wrk was done at Essential Speed.
The Cat is from ES as well, it's a "black box" type of cat, so not Vibrant, Magnaflow etc.
No huge change in sound. It might be slightly quieter but not much. The overall tone is now slightly deeper, but again not much.
Also had an 02 bung put in, so no more MIL eliminator. Just had to extend the O2 sensor wires.

I dealt with ben also, but I was told to deal with derrik (sp) from CS they said hes awesome to deal with and knows his s***.

Is it possible to get this exhaust and only install it like a cat-back leaving the cats on and just having a cat-back system. Want to know so when I order it I know I can switch it out for inspections then switch it back for driving...

Nope.

OK folks, here's the deal. Ben is no longer with CorkSport and we do miss his insights and opinions. While he was transitioning out we did find it necessary to post disclaimers on all the web sites he suscribed to under our name simply to ensure that there were no future misunderstandings until we got the Corksport ID assigned to the right person. It's transferred now and we can once again "speak with one voice."

Ben never intentionally mislead anyone and always offered his best information and insights. We sometimes cringed at his communication skills which occasionally created customer service challenges hence the concern for "misunderstandings". We do value our customers and continuously try to improve their "CorkSport Experience".

We will do our best to continue to be a valuable resource to this community and provide the most accurate and helpful information we have available to us. Derrick and Chris are our "front-end" sales guys who will field most of your phone inquiries and process your on line orders. They'll also likely be the source for most of the technical answers we post.

My primary responsibility is to ensure that your "CorkSport Experience" is one that's memorable...in a good way! Should you need my intervention please don't hesitate to contact me directly at gary@corksport.com.

I'm just curious what mazda USA would do if they saw a handful of corksport parts on a car that was in for a major warranty work

It really depends on the dealer. They have a great deal of latitude when making determinations on warranty issues and some use it more or less than others. Our experience is that if you have a reasonably good working relationship with your local dealer there's generally no challenge.

It also depends a bit on the warranty work being done in relation to the CS parts on your car. If you've put a Turbo kit on your car and your engine explodes...I think you get the picture.

Mazda USA would likely only be interested if the dealer made it an issue. We're not renegades just aftermarket suppliers that import quite a lot of their product, love their cars, and occasionally offer high performance enhancements otherwise not available at least in this country.

Hope this answers your question.

MS MSP, you answered 'Nope'. Are the flanges in a different position that the stock Cats "midpipe" cannot connect to the Corksport system (and when need-be, act as a cat-back system)?

As far as i can tell, the sections don't line up from one to the other.
The CS is longer than a typical cat back.
I have the stock exhuast lying in my garage at home, i will cehck it out tonight and get back to you, unless someone else here can confirm.

How much longer are we talking about?? I have to keep my cats in VA but my HSM axel back is rattling against my car. Plus it looks like s&^%.
