What's up everyone. I just joined the site and I've been looking at the problems reports with the turbo smoking and the clutch being high and hard to take off without jerking and almost stalling. I am second owner and got my 07 ms6 with 18200 miles. Question is should I call the dealer and see if they can check these things. My bumper to bumper expires in may. I love this car and I hope I don't have major issues. I haven't noticed the smoke yet. Thanks for help.

they wont touch your clutch after 12k, ride this one out and make sure to get the fix or get an aftermarket clutch next time around. if the turbo smokes you'll get a new one and the fix for it most likely.

If you have an 07 then you most likely have the 2nd gen (fixed) clutch. Check the TSB stick in teh speed 6 section to see if your VIN lies in the TSB category.

As for the turbo. They won't even look at it unless your smoking like a chimney. Most of those problems are early 06 models though.

DEAD WRONG...they did mine at 24k miles. New clutch, flywheel and throw out bearings. All for FREE!(usa)

adjust your clutch pedal so that it engages more in the middle. this solved so many problems when i was learning to drive this car. there is a how to somewhere, but it is pretty easy to do.

you are one out of 6000. i wouldn't refer to myself as DEAD WRONG. just you as LUCKY AS HELL. the warranty states 12k, therefore, i'm gonna go with mazda's rules instead of a random variable like you. it may have something to do with your throw out bearing which may be covered under warranty and the clutch is not, but ovbiously they are connected and mazda may have determined that the clutch needed replacing becuase of damage caused by the worn out bearing.

not really if iirc qwick6 got his clutch tsb done at around 45-49k. it all depends on which dealership you go to.

It was the TSB. Period. Luck had nothing to do with it.

So I shouldn't worry about the turbo if its not smoking?

You should really only 'worry' about the turbo if it is smoking like a chimney throughout the entire range of revs. Outside of that, a little smoke never hurt anybody.(smoke)
