question about city lights

ok i know our car in japan has city lights incorporated into the headlights.. does anyone know what color these are or where they sit? and also how they are wired and if they have their own specific switch?
also does the edm version of the car have these? if 323 sport comes back on here i bet he could tell me -=)

the JDM parking lights are blue with a switch on the inside next to our US p5 fog switch.

the switch has a dial that lets you adjust the angle of the lights.

they sit to opposite to the turn signals.

i have no idea how they are wired...im sure their heads have an extra spot on the harness for them though...

dunno about the EDM version

nah, it costs too much..maybe in the future. i was thinking of doing a swap but in a thread i read that the beam alignment for RHD cars are not the same as LHD cars and it makes sense.

ghost or somone did a JDM style parking light thing by putting in a LED. maybe i'll do the same.



edit in- for the parking lights. there is a switch to turn them on and off. and a dial right below the switch that lets you adjust intensity/brightness.....my mistake, i thought you were able to tilt the parking light beam up an down.

2 ways to do it to our american cars.

1 is to go to ebay and buy the city lights themselves. They come in any color and either clip on or stick on to the inside of the headlight,then you just have to wire them into the parking lights.

They can always be on because they pull such a small amount of power.

2nd way is to make them yourself.
go to radioshack and get the LEd's, wiring and resistors(yes u need the resistors) and wire them all together and then choose however you want to attatch them to the inside of the headlight. (I am doing this to light up the turn signal and high beam areas.)

Basically your doing the same stuff for making angel eyes only without the rods and stuff.

The best part about city lights is since it si just the led then you can put them in through the back of the headlight housing and dont have to take the headlights off/apart.

p5sundevil-thanks, i had no idea they made city light kits. time to hit up ebay =D

out of curiousity. does anyone out there know about JDM parking antennaes? if so, please hit me up if you know a place that sells universal motorized ones. I would go OEM but its just a ugly rod that plugs in...hell, on JDM 91 accords they were motorized with lights and a honda logo on top...i'm looking for something similar for mazdas =D lemme know if any of you OGs in here have seen something like this on a mazda

yah and if you wait for the right auction you can get what you want for like 2-3 dollars.

I think I paid like 4 but they came with an extra set of LED's I can use inside the car. IM thinkin lightin up the foot area on both sides.
