My gf is looking at possibly buying the 2010 6 and since they did not change much from 09 to 10 (except body style) I was wondering if any of you have had major problems with your 6. I appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

Should i take as a sign all the views without any posts that these are overall very reliable cars?

I've had my Gen2 since the end of March, and it's sitting at about 13k miles (including a couple long distance drives DC to Phoenix, Phoenix to Denver, Phoenix to LA) and I havent had any noteable problems with it. I have had a minor issue with a clip breaking on the passenger side of the bumper, but it's not a problem, just aesthetics... I would say go for it if you enjoy the car, it's been good to me so far

Ihave a 09 Mazda 6 S GT. Got it in January of 09 at Martin Mazda in Newark (I see yo uare from Wilmington). Love the car. I have had only small issues...a purge valve was replaced under a TSB and I had a problem over the summer with the foam weatherstripping under the windshield coming out. Both were easy fixes at the dealer. Other than that, it has been 12,000 miles of trouble free service.

My pass-occupancy sensor is somewhat flaky. It can't detect my wife at all times (90lbs) -- had it in several times and she always registers fine with the computer on it.

Stock tires are garbage (you probably knew that) Bose is worse than worthless.

They pretty much sucked it up with the packages though on the 2010 (more money, less stuff) If she's looking at the Touring or Grand Touring, digging up a 2009 on a lot would be 1) probably cheaper 2) "Free" years worth of mileage . . . instantly helpful on trade in.

Good luck. It's a badass car --- needs an LSD and stronger swaybars, but badass nonetheless.
