ok so who can get them to my door cheaper than 350 bucks? ive called around in oklahoma but everyone wont seem to budge off of 330, and id have to spend money to drive 1.5hrs to okc to pick them up or pay for them to ship, so i figure around 345-350 total cost. if you know a place or can help me out in some way let me know, i plan on purchasing them on the 15th.

I got this off of Boston's web site:
RC820 20-275 watts 50Hz-20kHz $329.95 pair

Looks like they don't want to move off full retail:bs:

I've been looking a these for my P5 also, but will they mount in the front doors with out issues? It looks like they should....
Would it work to mount the tweeters in the stock location (sail panel in door) or would it not sound right.....

Decisions, decisions...

everyone says theyll be fine. no thats the point i cant get them to move off retail.

woofersetc is interesting...they'll give you a full 1 year "factory warranty," but they're not authorized vendors, I think. BTW...the JL VR 6.5" components are only 200$ there. Pretty good deal, I'd say...perhaps it's time to sell my CDTs...hmmmmm.

If you're just gonna buy without hearing them then anything in that price range will do right? :p

How do you like your music to sound? Naturally reproduced, or treble-y, or full of strong midrange? I know the hour is late to change your mind on speakers, but for stuff in your price range I can recommend something based on how you like it to sound (at least, vaguely) and what you listen to.

i have no idea. i assume with everyones great opinion of BA i will get the RC820s. im not going to bother switching now, cause im anal about my mids and highs being the same brand. if i have to ill spend 330. this isnt for new suggestions, just to help me find those speakers for cheaper, if possible. :) im just trying to save a little money off of MSRP. if you find me speakers in that price range im still gonna spend the same money. so no new suggestions :D

Well...I meant the JL VRs which were 200$ for 6.5" at woofersetc.

I dunno about the Boston's though...that's why I didn't wind up getting them...they're too freakin expensive. The best way to get a bargain on them is to:

a) know somebody
b) make the shop go down in price...I'm pretty sure the RCs are marked up at least 50$. The Zs are marked up like 500$, I think...I'd love to get those.

BTW...the sound reproduction on the Rallys that I heard was very different from other Boston speakers. It seemed to be lacking midbass...but that's probably because it was in a soundboard, and not a car.

i already have 6.5s purchased. all i need is the component set. ill pay for them i was just hoping to find them cheaper cause normally you can somewhere. i hope youre right about the soundboard, but if not, ill prolly still not notice. remember i thought my 100 pair of pioneers sounded good, im sure these will be a significant step up.

They should be...but it's all a matter of taste. I didn't listen to mine before I got them, and now I need to compare them to what I was going to buy because I can't tell whether I'm satisfied or not.

The problem here is the same I encountered when looking for an Alpine 9813 - the demand is always there, the supply is reletively low, so the retailers can get what they want for them...bastards!!!

Am I correct in assuming you want these for your front doors? What other manufacturers have 5x7/6x8 components out. Just for a cross comparison. I know Infinity doesn't. I like the Perfect 6.1, sound awesome (to me) but just won't fit the front doors perfectly @ 6.5".

I'd love to get my hands on some of the BA's but not for full retail...Who the hell pays full retail:rolleyes:

I' ll will find cheaper rc820's if it the last thing I EVER do!! :'(

I had a hard time finding these components, too. I ended up searching past ebay listings and emailing a guy who had listed them, but did not sell them in the auction.

I paid about $220.

Here, I just checked ebay for you... check out this link... they ran auctions just before Christmas and did not sell them at $209:

Looks like their feedback is pretty good.

I have the Rally components in the front and rear of my P5... I just finished installing them over the weekend... so far, I love them... and I haven't really tweaked anything yet. I drilled holes in the door panels for the tweeters... both front and rear... later on, I would like to pick up another set of tweeters and mount them in the sail panels... but, that will take some extra effort... they don't really "drop in".

Good luck
