I just picked up a mazda 6 2007 touring edition and was questioning the strength of the headlights. I also have fog lights installed.
The headlight itself as 4 bulbs from left to right. I cant seem to figure out what one of them is:
1 - ( closest to center ) is headlight
2 - ( 2nd closest to center ) ??????
3 - ( 2nd closest to outside ) is blinker/hazard light
4 - ( closest to side of car ) is highbeams
Keep in mind.. i installed tints ( first car with em ), it was dark out due to bad weather ( no moonlight ) and I was driving home the first night i got the car on a pretty dark part of highway. Fog lights and headlights were on, but i still found it a little dark. ( there were no lights overhead on the road, and high beams were a NO NO due to it being a highway with cars coming in the opposite direction. )
I was just wondering.. is it just that im not used to the headlights and thats why i found them a little low powered? Do you HAVE to run with fog lights at night? Im just wondering if im missing something. I looked in the manual and noticed that on higher end m6's... there is a switch on the far left side of the dash right beside the switch for brightening the interior dash lights. ( mine doesnt have the switch, just a cap ) According to the book.. the switch allows you to get 3 levels of headlights or something?
Was wondering if maybe my car was on setting 1 as the norm and there is no way to increase it unless i switch headlights or something.
I test drove the car in the day so never had a chance to notice the headlights. Its nothing HUGE.. but just making sure im not a moron and something isnt turned on...
Any help would be very appreciated ; )
