Q bout haltech f10x

damn im gonna try to send the clamp back then definately get the haltech if that doesnt work.

yea try that first... i think you should talk to turf about the mircotech those things are awesome and it will give you timing and fuel. I mean if your going to buy some sort of standalone spend the extra 300-400 bucks.

matt, i'd get the haltech. reason being over the microtech- its been around for the proteges and a lot of people are familar with it, whereas, not many have run or know much about the microtech...

thats part of the reason i got the haltech, that and windows tuning is so easy. its a very VERY nice interface, not to mention EASE of install! :)

haha mircotech has been running on a protege since spool first opened up. I think thats enough time for the kinks to be worked out. Also microtech has one of the nicest interfaces ive ever seen very user friendly. Dont knock till youve tried it. The haltech is also excellent product and im not telling it wont work but that he should look at an option he might not know about.

i'm not knocking nothing, im just saying the haltech has helluva more support as of now than the microtech. and since terrys car, how many have installed it... 3? 4?
the haltech is more proven.

i spoke to keith extensively today and he has no idea what is wrong. problem is im getting a 0v from the o2 sensor, but if the ecu was REALLY seeing that voltage the car would be running like total crap but its not.

so who ******* knows. im going to yank the clamp out, probably tommorrow when it stops raining and send it to him so he can test it.

seems that juan is out of town until the 28th anyhow.

good news, the votlage clamp was putting out a .54 volts, according to keith, causing the ECU to see WAY TO RICH throwing the code and pulling fuel. he redid the clamp and is sending it out tommorrow! hopefully that was the only problem!

he seems to think it was a bad batch of clamps...i guess i wasnt the only one with problems. amazing how after so long being broke you are glad to hear BAD news...of course though i didnt have to pay i was just glad they found something wrong.

hopefully that is my one and only problem, considering it is putting out a voltage almost twice the voltage that equals 14.7...

Glad to hear that had a problem. Hopefully that will fix everything. Other people get bad parts at times also, so it all boils down to venders are only as good as the parts they are supplied with.

yea, i was at my wits end. iim not great at tuning or wiring or anything, but even not being great after going over the schematic and trying so many things, it was hard to imagine it wasnt that. finally i convinced him to look at it.

unfortunately i guess they get their clamps from elsewhere.
