Putting in a Custom FMIC as we speak :)

Looks good custommsp..glad to see you placed the MAF on the intercooler pipes. It sounds awesome huh?

My friend and I were going to go 2 1/2 like you did but knew we'd run into some problems so just went with 2 1/4.

Unfortunately I'm going to be selling mine along with my 18 inch Racing Hart CP8's in the next few weeks. Then when it comes closer to trading the car in I'll be selling everything else. Only thing I'll be keeping on the car is the lowering springs, tint of course, and carbon fiber shift knob ebrake handle. I must admit that it was real fun and I'm not getting rid of it because I don't like the car. It's just that right now isn't the best time. I've poured out like $4,000 on the MSP and my previous car (240sx) had about $7,000 in upgrades. So I'm going to take a break and just get a SUV. My inlaws are coming in a few months and will be staying with my wife and I. I'll be back into this hobby a few years from now. So if anyone is interested in FMIC or 18 inch rims just PM me. As of right now I'm only going to sell locally ( VEGAS) or someone near that is willing to drive down. Good deal waiting for you guys. Peace!

There hasn't been any bad effects yet. It's been a few months already and no problems at all. I'll still be checking in and out of this forum even without the MSP. I must admit that I've gotten lots and lots of info from this forum. You guys are the best!

No leaks are found, except that the bad hoses I'm using right now keep popping off

A trick you can do to keep the hoses from popping off is to weld a bead around the pipe just a bit from the end. That way, you have a ridge that keeps the clamp and hose from sliding off.

Yeah we done one of the pipes like that, but didn't have time to do the others. We're going to go over everything again when I get my "real" hoses. I'll tell you one thing, the car is silky smooth without the turbo :) This is just a "prototype" setup. We're going to go back and clean up all the welds and powedercoat the pipes. I painted them with rust resistant paint for now.

Thanks.

******* hoses keep popping off damn it! I desperataly need a 90deg silicone hose for the damn throttle body!!

I went throug the same thing too bro. It took my friend and I about 2 hours to finally get it to stay. We just kept adjusting and adjusting. Your using tbolt clamps right? Mine was the same location as yours also plus the pipe that goes after the MAF. The bead option is one route and another is to get hump hoses which is what I was going to do. But know how you feel man. It sucks bad.

Not using t-bolt clamps. Is that going to help more than beading the pipes? Because I don't have time to take all the pipes off and bead them. Making a new pipe for the throttle body right now.

Ok...

Made more progress... We've made a new pipe that goes from the TB to the maf. Works a lot better and no more clearance issues. I'll still buy a 90deg bend hose and just replace that pipe with a straight pipe, because this one is ugly but it works! Also went over most of the pipes and put beads on them. Cleaned some more welds. I'll some pics up soon. The car pulls like a bull! :D I was finally able to hit boost more than once on my test drive and it feels awesome! The BOV goes off all the time...I hope the maf lasts in this configuration. One thing I noticed was something that looked like oil in and on top of the turbo outlet. Has anyone else noticed this? Is this normal?

Thanks everybody for all your support. I'm sure lots of people will benefit from this thread.
