So I came across this video about how putting acetone in you gas totaly boosts your gas mileage. So should we all do this to our cars?
Exactly like toluene and all those other "tricks", it slows the burn of the flame kernel in the combustion chamber, so it effectively behaves similar to higher octane fuels,
the way i figure it, even if this stuff works, after you've paid for it AND the gas, you're probably back to square one...=/
Keep in mind if you use Xylene or Touline, be sire to put 4oz of marveal mystery oil in with it or that stuff with dry out every o ring in your fuel system!
Nah, it won't.
There is already Xylene in gasoline. Its part of the normal formulation (along with another 30 or more nasty, dangerous, aggressive compounds).
Just don't exceed 25% concentrations and you'll be alright.
