I've owned my MS6 for just under two years and have 19,000 miles on it.
This weekend, I experienced my 4th CEL. One of the CELs was the variable swirl shutter valve issue. The rest have been purge valve failures.
I know the original purge valve had a design flaw that caused it to fail. However, to resolve my first purge valve CEL, the dealership installed one of the newly design purge valves. When this one failed, the dealership claimed that the purge valve most likely had a manufacturing defect and failed prematurely.
Now, after replacing the purge valve for the third time, the dealership claims the Mazda has again released another newly designed purge valve because the first redesign didn't fix the problem.
Is the dealership giving me correct information? According to the invoice, they performed TSB 01-56/06 and replaced my purge valve with L3K9-18-740B.
Has anyone else had this many purge valve CELs?
