2010 CX9 Blue
Salesman has worked a deal for me to get a stormy blue 2010 touring with roof / Blows Stereo / and power rear lift.

He's having the car transferred from another dealer because it's the color my wife wants. That blue is really nice.

The deal he's given me so far is selling price is $33,291.00. Tax, title and doc are $2213.86 which makes the out the door price not including new plate $35,504.86

What do you guys think?

Check out the edmunds.com's CX9 page.
Lots of deal discussions there. More up-to-date, at least.

Assuming you are getting AWD, I could have get the touring AWD with same option package for $32,450 with 0% finance. So the price you got was too high.

I end up paying $3000 more for GT with NAV

Well here's the deal. Wife wanted special color stormy blue so the dealer made a swap with another dealer to get the car for me, so I'm really not in a position to bargain any further.

Thanks to all interested in giving me a hand. Really looking forward to taking delivery Saturday. I've been thinking about this for months and I'm ready to get the deal done and move on with other things.

TWO Mazdas will be in my garage now. A 2010 CX-9 parked right next to a 2009 Mazdaspeed3.

Sweet

Did you sign a contract before the swap? If no, I'd still be bargaining. The dealer can poor-mouth it all he wants, but if you don't buy, all he's out are the costs associated with the swap; he's still got a car to sell. I'd be bargaining my ass off. Don't act like you think the dealer did you a favor by swapping cars for you. His motives were to make money, yours should be to pay as little as possible. Set the tone: offer them something at the extreme low end of reasonable, as if you just walked in and they don't know your wife is in love with the color.

X3

I usually make a deal on what I want and then it is up to them to find it. They're not doing you any favors and there are plenty of dealers who will find you what you want at a great price.

No swap - I'm selling my other vehicle on my own. It's a 2002 Maxima and they can't give me enough for it.

Thanks for the advice guys. I'll do my best!

By "swap" I was referring to the transfer of the CX-9 from one dealer to the other, working on the assumption that they exchanged vehicles from dealer to dealer, not your trade-in.

Oh..duh..........I need to get more sleep or something.
I'm going to see what I can do. I originally was told I would get a $500 Mazda loyalty rebate because I bought the speed there, but turns out that because it's registered under my business instead of me personally, I can't get it.
This will be my first negotiating item. It's the primary reason I'm going to them in the first place.

Thanks mysleeper6.

Yup..you own the MS3 whether it is registered to your business or not, you are still owner of your business.

I got an almost identical car a few $k less. It too was a dealer transfer. I used Edmunds website and I paid about average what other people did.

I was concerned about the deal since I hadn't actually seen the car and the dealer didn't leave me a copy of the sticker so I could research price and options. When I was notified that the car was on its way I asked for the VIN. I looked it up and was able to find the window sticker. At that time I was able to do the research on price at the Edmunds site.
