yes but mate,
the proiblem is that after i changed the head unit... from original to the new sony one.. I didnt connect the illumination cable.
Now the lights inside is not turning on. The l;ight for the aircon knob and the one which direct the airflow..

I think it should be the illumination wire.. becausei checked all the fuses and everything is goood..

So connect the illumination cable to from the wiring harness to the headunit. The headunit does have an illumination wire (see the PDF) and so does the car (see the Protege audio FAQ). I doubt that will fix your heater controls not lighting up... sounds like something else got damaged in the process.

yeah i think i put back the original head unit just to see if the light is turning back on...
