i was told you boost harder but the fuel cuts off about 6k rpms.
is this safe? and what does this do?

yeah, that would prolly be a BAD idea.if you pull the line off the wastegate, then it wont open.and the cut at 6k would be your engine exploding because you just fed it 20 psi of boost.however, you can modify the wastegate rod to give you more boost.if you search for that you should prolly find something.

STEP AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE.

Very bad idea. Try adding a mbc instead. I suggest not even attempting shortening the rod, it is very frustrating and time consuming.

ughh like stated above do not do this. buy a boost gauge and a boost controller to adjust boost properly.

I think its a great Idea.
Let us know the results...

Sorry, but thats the worst idea ever, who told you to do that?

You have got to be kidding me. Your realize that with no vacuum line your wastegate will NEVER open.

Friend, you need to do a little research before you just do things.

Ouch, jump down a dude's throat...

He's doing the right thing, asking around and such. But yeah, don't listen to whomever told you that was in anyway a good idea.

A couple of months ago the stock vacuum hose going to the wastegate cracked and leaked. So no pressure was getting to the wastegate actuator. The boost spiked to about 12 psi and then I hit fuel cut in 2nd gear at around 3500rpms.

Replaced the vacuum hose with a better hose, and it hasn't happened again.
