Neither map clamp nor bcd will help with spike. The bcd will hurt it if anything, as it slowly leaks boost off.
That boost controller is trash plain and simple. Sell it and get the other greddy ebc. Works way better. I had it on my old srt for awhile and it worked way better. I cant remember the name of it but it has two knobs and a high and low boost setting.
