PSP Anyone?

Yeah! I won one from work! They raffled it off and I pitched in my 10 bucks and won! I never won squat before.. but man this thing is nice!! need a bigger memory stick.. just preordered the 1gb...

GameBoy was first released in 1988 as a 1989 piece. Game Gear didn't hit the market til 1991 along with Atari Lynx and NEC TurboXpress. Sorry to nit pick but reviewing games for a living was what I used to do

Oh geez, like one or two year difference. lol All I know is that while in JA, I bought the Gamegear and it was GREAT. My son has a Gameboy Advance and STILL cant compete with what that system was like 10 years earlier. I miss my dream cast too. Another Sega venture that was ahead of the industry. Times change I guess. But Sega and PS are always my favorites. Too bad I could never play any of their games in an arcade over there. For one, can't understand the instructions, two - one dollar for a game play would only last about 10 seconds before you died and three - some little Asian kid that was like 8 years old would kick your ass. Oh and you couldnt play the systems and games that would come out in JA on a US made television. They had some sort of crystal or chip that wouldnt play on anything other than JA brand and everything was in Japanese of course. They did that to make sure no one from overseas would make copies or bring out something that hadnt been in the U.S. market yet. Smart people. Not sure if this is still true. I was in JA in the early 90's. lol

i bought 2 a couple of days ago (one for my brother and myself). i had issues with both of them though. mine had 4 or 5 dead pixels and my brother's had 2 dead pixels and the battery wouldn't take a charge at all. i went back to the store to exchange them but ended up getting psp's with ONE dead pixel on each unit. i didnt want to make an exchange again and end up getting a psp that would be worse. besides, i can't see it unless the screen is completely black. i didn't want to keep opening up new units as the store only had 10 left. the manager didn't like the idea either. i ended just taking the 2 that i opened and bought an insurance plan for 25 bucks.

i'd suggest everyone with a psp go to http://psp.ign.com and d/l the deadpixel test. you might have at least one dead pixel even if you don't think you do. when i first opened mine i didn't see ANY, even with the pixel test. when my brother checked mine he spotted a tiny spec, and sure enough it was a dead pixel.

maybe matthew had to spread some rep around before he gave us negatives for saying somthing about his spamming and thats why it took so long

anyone remember the nomad? that thing was freakin sweet!! played genesis games.... came out at the tail end of the gamegear's run and was 100x better.
