:
Mazda, RX8
November 17th.

499 for the 20 gig
599 for the 60 gig

and the controller is like the orginal with the 6DOF.

Games looked extremely nice to.

Though only 2 million expect the first month followed by 2 million units the next.

WOOT though for a actual date.

I was ready to buy one at $400, but the added price and lack of impressive titles really killed it for me.

kutargi did say it was going to be very very expensive, and damn he was not kidding

When HD-DVD's get to be the new standard, I'll pick one up as opposed to buying just the DVD player.

Both the new systems are pricey though compared to the 360 the PS3 seems like it is going to be better.

In its base form it is only 100 more with the extras Blu-Ray player, 1920x1080p resolution etc.

And for 200 more you get the same plus 3x the drive space.

So in comparison it is a good price to the 360.

Anyword on what the Wii will go for? Nintendo seems to stay in the affordable price range for systems.

Count me the **** out, thanks.

I'll just buy a HDDVD/Bluray drive for my TV Computer and enjoy my Nintendo Wii.

they're trying to do too much.

their huge fanbase of the ps2 stems from the console being reasonably priced. a 600 dollar console is gonna kill off many potential buyers.

arguments like a blu-ray player and 1080p resolution aren't strong at all. we don't know what standard (blu-ray or hd-dvd) will 'win', if either of them does. i see both of them failing as standalone players in the market. and who the **** has a 1080p that plays playstation a bunch? answer - very few. tons of people i know play their ps2 on a 20" crt that's years old.

i haven't decided which console(s) i'll invest in. w/ a 360 price drop sometime in the future, it's becoming pretty attractive. the nintendo looks cool, provided they make games for people older than 12.

Yet when it the Ps2 came out it was 300 bucks which at the time was way higher than previous consoles.

Shoot believe when the SNES came out it was in the 100 range which back then was a lot for a console.

interesting. I have been wanting to buy this and will still do so over the 360. But I will wait like a year so that I can pick one up for cheap(not necessarily brand new or from a big store*wink wink*).

(werd) on the "count me the **** out"....people who ran out and bought the first batch of 360s found out that they had a tendency to suffer from overheating....just like new car models...always have bugs here and there.

on top of being wayyyy overpriced...i have yet to see ANYTHING from 360,PS3 or the wii that has impressed me (it's just better graphics...so what)

people pay 400 for an ipod, i'm sure they'll shell out 500 for a ps3.

And 500+ for single graphics cards when they first come out, and *gasp* full price for cars when they first come out. (nailbyt) Nothing different here, pay to have something newly released.

hahah, watch as 7 years from now, people will be paying 900 bucks for consoles

inflation for teh win!

7 years from now I hope we are past consoles and they simply put a chip in your head :)

Ha I am just going to wait a year or 2 when the price is a lot cheaper. 600 is way way too much for me. Not worth it for something that plays games and dvd's.

yup.. same here, plus thats 600 i could put towards upgrades or an apartment..
