Protege5 turbo ?

While I was at the Mazda Dealer today the parts manager told me that the 2003 Protege5 is going to have a turbo. Has anyone else heard about the Protege5 having a turbo?

I think the Mazdaspeed protege will be the sole turbo mazda in the states in 2003. I wouldn't mind being wrong though.

That would suck, cause I could have waited unitl they came out. But as far as I could find, there was not going to be any major changes to the 2003 P5

If that is true, then I'd consider trading my MP3 in due to the P5 having more aftermarket support. If I didn't get one, then I'd defintely try to talk my girl friend into buying one.

well of coz having a turbo in our P5 would be nice.........
And of coz many people won't mind waiting for it.........
But remember this........$$$$ increase......

I highly doubt it...we would of heard about it by now...the changes have already been made to the 2002.5 models and not much should change (if anything) for 2003.

Again we are hearing this from a Dealer whos probably confusing it with the Mazdaspeed...turbo....supercharged...they don't know the difference.

One salesman who actually knew about the MS and that it was turbocharged told me the 2003 p5 will be pretty much the same.

Will see...although it would be great to have a turbo p5...throw in awd

I think if the P5 was coming out in a Turbo one of the Magazines would have caught wind of it by now.
