Hey ok for some reason i have a very silent knocking sound in my Right wheel well, in my 2001 protege.
And the sound usually only happens when i turn right.
The only work i have done on my car was cleaning the brake line system.
so i did take my wheels off and my rotors and calipers.

and it also sometimes knocks when i hit small bumps!!!
does anyone have any ideas on what it may be.........

just to make sure , is it a clunk ? or a knock knock like knocking on wood ?

also if its silent , how can you hear it

LOL well i mean silent like you can only hear it when your driving really slow, like walking speed maybe 20km/h max, then it iether stops, or well too much road noise.

and as well i think i might have solved the problem will find out tomorrow.
I forgot to mention that i did my headers a couple of days ago, and i remember the springs on the bottom, well they were really rusty and not tight enough, so they might be moving when i turn, which sometimes does also make a knocking sound when i turn left, just more when its right.

anyways ill update i tightened them tonight and sprayed WD-40.
so will see what happens

Check your brake re-install torques. A loose caliper could do what you describe.

Push on the side of the car - get it rocking sideways - do you hear it?

wow
exact same thing for me,
i just changed the front discs/calipers/and pads like 6 months ago,
but this started maybe 1 month ago.

sounds like the brakes?
