Protege 5 Headlights

Hey guys, i was wanting to get a set of protege 5 headlights. The wiring is different though...and i wanted to know if any of you all knew how they were wired different? Also, if any of you have these headlights, let me know what ya think of them...i plan on ordering them sometime within the next week.

I think it's been done, it's just splicing the harnesses for the most part..someone will post with good info..get a soldering gun.

I have the P5 headlights on my MP3. Yes the wiring is different, but it is not too difficult.
Actually I still have no high beams, and I have had the lights for over a year. Who needs high beams, if you have some good bulbs in your lows? I could wire it up I just don't see a point. The parking light is the exact same, it plugs right in. Then I jsut bought some bulbs and wires from a local auto parts store and plugged in the lows. An H7 bulb. Then I jsut capped the high beam socket. And I am good to go. The look is sooooo much better.

j, could you please take a picture of your wiring...i have been wanting to swap with a friend for quite some time now.

Unfortuantely I do not have a digital camera. I do have a pic of the lights installed, but not the wiring. If someone can post it for me. I dont know how. It looks a lot nicer. I wish I could take pics for you, sorry.

The MP3 Headlight Housings are E-spec, and give a better light beam pattern. There was a thread a while back with pictures and such explaining this. The P5 housings are to DOT specs... A lower standard. To each their own... Not gonna hate.

i agree with linux. i had my p5 headlights on for about a year. i now have stock mp3 headlights back on. way better visibility. it does make the car look better though.
