Hee hee hee. I love having too much free time.

I was watching High Rev tuners on speed channel this morning (RICER SHOW). It's a really bad show, but it had this really cool segment on this Focus that some company had made mid-rear drive. So I figured, if they can do that in a focus, we can definatly do that in a P5. But why stop at our crummy 2.0. I figure, if you're gonna spend that much money on a rear driver conversion, might as well make it worth it. How does a small block 350 sound to everyone. Get a functional roof scoop going to feed the supercharger. As far as the tranny goes, I'm still open to ideas, but somethin like this would be such great publicity for the P5 and mazda, I almost wanna pitch it to them, but they'd end up using the SVT motor or some s***, and that just wouldnt do.

If anybody wants to call me insane, go for it, but you gotta admit that that would kick ass.

You are insane...

Put down the pipe! (chair)

It'd be hard to mount a rotary transversely to the wheels, I think... But a FS-DE with a turbo and EMS would be just fine for me. =) Where do I buy the kit? ;)

You guys are missing out on the aspect of disgusting amounts of good old american torque and the total uniqueness of it, but if somebody did a tri rotor, or a six, but neither would be close to a LT-4 dropped in there with a blower up top.

Well you take Cole's 350 and i'll give you my entire life savings if you can fit it under your car.

if we wanted this most of us probably would have bought a mustang or camaro, not a japanese car

make a rwd 13b powered p5, that would be rediculous, and im sure you could get the 13b to fit into the bay, its a relitively small motor, just the associated parts take up alot of room. Single turbo the thing, 15psi, and you would be pwning your little ls1's and such, in a rwd wagon heh.

it's funny because you live in the deep south

Oh you're so wrong! A well tuned two-rotor single turbo 13b can make 500 hp even more with more agressive tuning. A good 3-rotor 20b will get close to 1000 hp with proper turbo and tuning. I would be ectastic with a single turbo 13b and rear drive conversion in the P5 mildly tuned to 360~400 whp. With the 13b the P5 would be slightly lighter and more balanced than stock!

How big of an engine can you fit into the bay of the P5.

To me it doesn't seem like it would be hard to do, just $ and time..

The frame/chasis of this car should be the same as the Japanese version, and they have an AWD version, I think, so mounting a drive train, and an engine and off you go (of course there is all the related work..)

I could be wrong on all of this, but it would be nice to do.

1 day I will do this, when I have the spare time and money, I am gonna keep this car for a very long time..
