Prosport Boost Gauge Install Problems

ummmm how many of you have ever worked on cars professionally?

I have and still do

I would say there is an issue with the sending unit not being hooked up right. a really easy way to know it is hooked up right is to take the positive wire and run it to the battery and the negative to any random grounding bolt on the car. then run the signal wire to the gauge and your done if it still doesn't work then the unit is messed up for sure. I installed one before that would go to 5 psi and then dropped to zero, so I rewired it and it was fine so check your connections.

That pdf looks correct to me, i have the guage working for about 8 months now, and have it bright white during the day and red/amber at night.

I'm having the same problem. I even sent mine in and got a new sender. Originally, the opening ceremony wasn't working. I tested it this time with the gauge connected only to power, and there was the ceremony.

After installing the sender and the gauge, the ceremony doesn't come on and the gauge is stuck on pointing down.

In the PDF, does that mean you connect the ground to the white wire and the sensor wire also?

its the bad nylon line they come with that causes this issue, replace it with a real vacuum line and it will work. good luck

im going to be installing a prosport premium boost gauge and i was wondering if anybody who has installed one needed extra wire. bc it doesnt seem like it came with enough wire.

so i installed my gauge by tapping into the fuse box. everything is working well as far as the gauge but i tapped into the powerlocks fuse and now my drivers door wont unlock with the button on the doors or the buttn on my alarm button.... all others unlock and lock like nrmal and the drivers side locks but doesnt unlock,,,,,, anybody have any ideas?

Un Install the gauge.. and install it properly to your dimmer switch behind the dash.. you are drawing power from the switch to the door... They do not run alot of power to the door locks as it is only a small motor...

All in all, how do you guys like the Prosport gauges so far?? I am about to purchase a couple of gauges and the Prosports seem to fit into my price/features preferences rather well, but I've heard that they have some accuracy issues.

i like ! i have a the boost pro series :D

Sell it and buy a dashhawk. Its what I'm gonna do.

The purpose of having a boost gauge is have a independent, clean reading of the actual boost. Reading the OBDII boost pressure is fine if you want to measure stock boost, but if you later want to install a MAP clamp or boost controller I don't believe the OBDII signal will represent the actual boost anymore.
