Project MSP Wannabe begins!

New update: Just finished the 4 lug/rear drum to 5 lug/rear disc swap. Didn't have time to let the caliper paint cure enough, so they will all be painted red later. The front calipers came off the pro5 and were already red.

awsome. Tell us the difference, how does it feel now? And what parts did you needed?

Well the brakes feel real smooth now and stop the car a lot quicker. And now I can get some Racing Harts for next year.

I got the spindles, brake master cylinder, portioning valve, e-brake cable and front calipers from the pro5. I bought new rotors and pads, rear calipers (ouch, 200 each), a bunch of bolts, and protege5 lower control arms. Plus I had to buy the 03 P5 wheels and tires to go with it.

don't you wish you had a wrecked P5 like i did? or did you?

anyway, i read a couple places and the portioning valve and the brake master cylinder didn't need to be changed...

nice!!! i really dig the p5 rims. whats ur suspension set up?

looks good man. i'll work on the picture disc

Cool man. I can drop a blank disc off if needed. Apparently you took the most group member shots of everyone there (doh)

i can't wait to have my white one finished....

i'm so jealous, but i guess you maybe jealous of my RH's tho...

Actually, I am also considering MP3 RH's (basically going for the nicest set of RH's I can find first.)

Thanks! I like these wheels more on a sedan than a P5 myself. I have tokico hps, espelir springs, RB front and rear sways and the rear crossmember, upper strut mounts, MSP bump stops, and new P5 lower control arms.

dude, skip the RH's and go with either RX'8 wheels, or maybe even a set of MS3 or MS6 wheels... that be hot

Maybe later. I've wanted a set of RH's for a couple years, back when I thought it would be too much money and work to do the 5 lug swap. I never thought I would be able to score a P5 donor car for $100. Now that a major hurdle has been knocked down, I'm going for RH's first. :)

no for now. I rode in a 03.5 yeller a couple weeks ago and noticed that the spoiler considerably obstructs the view out the back window. But, it will be a while before the interior is finished and I need to relocate my 3rd brake light. I could change my mind before then (laugh)
