progress springs

Had my progress springs installed about 2 years ago and just about sick of them. The drop is way too low now and the ride is horrible. Too stiff in my opinion. The drop made my front tires blow out already. THinking about switchin the suspension. Any suggestions? something that rides smooth and not too much of a drop.

H&R springs have a nice drop but not too low. And they are slighty stiffer than stock but are very smooth. I think they are only a 1.3" drop. Have them on my car and love them.

I have tanabe grip feeling springs on my p5 right now. The drop is only about 1.3 in the front and 1 in the rear. They are way stiffer than stock which you might not like, but they make 3 different series, grip, dress up, and normal feeling which is stock spring rates with a drop.

blackPR5, where did you get yours and what did they cost ya? I have looked in the H&R's and also the TEIN's, but haven't decided which way to go yet.....

i wish my eibachs were lower in the front...i'd like to get just the fronts from the eibach sportlines kit.

I got mine at tri-point engineering. They were about $200.

Your ride is due mostly to the struts... not really the springs. The ride gets harsh when your struts go bad. The drop wont make your front tires blow out... your alignment or overinflating will. I had progress springs, rode just as nice as my eibachs that i have now. I switched springs because i got the eibachs for free and my buddy needed a set of springs... so i used the prokits so i could run a slightly larger tire.

I have the Goldline springs and love them... They have a lower height and ride just like stock MSP springs for the most part except seems tighter in the corners, but I just recently took them off and sprayed my springs with rubberized undercoating and sound deadener and added the two washers trick on the back springs and also cut trimmed my bump stops and the car feels much stiffer now.

I really don't know if that was what cuased the new tighter feel becuase I added front AWR-front endlinks and I also added AWR trailing links and have the 22mm Progress swaybar and AWR-rear endlinks as well. I love how tight the car feels, so freakin cool...

just black out the housings yourself... costs 5 bucks... a couple hours.. and looks great. Search the forum for how-to's

If you're concerned with ride height and harshness, I would go with the Racing Beat springs. I have them on my P5. They made a huge improvement in handling and they still don't wake up my 3 year old daughter when she's sleeping. They're very comfortable and the drop was only about an inch.
