JDM Sam said:try this setting now for about 9 psi
set boost 15%
gain 25%
set gain 50
warning at 10.0
limiter L25
protegeric said:My set is at 15% and from there (I haven`t tried a higher set) but my limiter only goes to 20% and that`s all. What`s the deal with people setting their limiter at 99%, etc.? Mine doesn`t go that high. Is the 99%, etc. in kpA?
What mods for thees two settings JDMSam?:

Mazdaspeed Protege
Mods (Unkown)
For Boost = 9.5-10PSI
Set = 15%
Gain = 35
Set Gain = ??
Warning = 100
Limiter = 99%

I leave the limiter at the fullest setting in case something really goes wrong with the wastegate acuator or boost solenoid.
Setting for any intake exhaust. If it spikes, just adjust the gain.
Jaysanooch said:My Profec spec 2 is not holding boost, I want 7 psi.
set=0
gain=5%
set gain=5%
warning=8psi
limiter=L20% Mine doesn't go any higher then L20%
With this, if I go past 5000rpm, I hit fuel cut at 11.7psi...it was a cold night. What''s going on, is my wastegate actuator going bad?
protegeric said:Hitting fuel cut? No, fuel cut is fuel cut. Just too much air/cold air and the car says, "NO." Get an AFC or piggyback or standalone or somethin.
Jaysanooch said:I understand what your saying except why with my settings above am I hitting 11.7, shouldn't the Profec B spec prevent my boost from going that high. My limiter only goes to L20%.....i see some of you can set your limiter to 99%. Anyway, that's why I'm thinking I have wastegate actuator issues.
My boost holds 7-7.5 until the rpm climb to 4500...then my boost climbs to 8-9psi as I reach redline then bam fuel cut. I then select boost peak and I read 11.7psi.
Do I need to change anything with my settings?

In the pic attached you can see how i have my setup inside the car. I already had a boost gauge hose run into the car for my boost gauge, so i tapped into it for the ebc. They don't really match, there's a difference of 1-2 psi. Is it because of my setup? I'm also wondering how much of an effect that filter has. It's basically a 1 way valve, so that the ebc can only see boost and not vac, but i dont think it's a good quality valve.
Plus i used to run 5psi (stock), and set it at or near 10. Feels just a tad faster, getting readings of (8.2-8.7) on the ebc, and (9-10) on the defi boost gauge. Not sure which one to trust or tune by etc. I'm also for some reaosn still very rich while boosting. wb gauge showing a steady 10.0 (lowest it can go) while i'm in boost, same as when i was at 5psi. That can't be right. What's goin on?!
protegeric said:Is the filter one way? The EBC sees vacuum, or does that come from the fuel pressure line? The filter goes on a certain way. One side is inlet and one is outlet. My boost gauge was one full psi off from my EBC gauge also. I would personally trust the EBC because the gauge relies on more simple mechanical means and it`s analog, too many variables for me...
smo0f said:it definitely is 1 way.. if you take it out, try blowing/sucking (easy with the jokes now) on the inlet that the arrow on the filter is pointing away from, or the other side, you'll see what i'm talking about.
