I picked up a replacement tranny (5 spd) when I blew my 3rd gear last year for $509 shipped to me with 27k miles on with a guarantee that it was a good transmission!

www.car-parts.com they are in Austin but maybe they have other branches or find a local salvage yard!

Ya me too. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if those spider gears are totally fried. The guy who owned it before me Neutral dropped it all the time(auto trans) and the magnet in the trans pan had teeth off of gears stuck to it...something is wrong. But i appreciate the help. =)

Good lord. I think a gently used replacement is the way to go regardless. With abuse like that you're eventually going to have to replace it anyways.

If there is one thing that will kill these trannies fast its neutral dropping.

Ya i have been pricing it in shops compared to me doing it myself...i'm not sure which im going to do yet
