so i tried searching and didnt see anyone else with this problem...

now i know its probably a stupid thing that i just cant figure out, but we were sitting in the car last night with the car running and my bf just pressed the src button and the screen turned off and flipped up....normally not a problem because it should turn on automatically when i turn the car on anyways, but when the car was restarted nothing happened...
so is there a way to flip the screen down manually or is this actually something wrong with my headunit?

Stuck closed: Press the left corner for 3 secs. the face plate will unfold.

Stuck open: Press the reset button on the faceplate on the bottom with a pencil.

awesome, thanks, i'll see if that fixes it tonight when i get home

I'm on deck # 4. This is in a two and a half year time span. :)

ya, i hear that.

i'm on my third in 2 years.

when it's working, it seems to be a nice enough deck, though.

It's been the same issue every single time. I guess there's a fix for it. I have it worked out for the dealership to order me a deck, mail it to me at work, then I send them back the old one (yes, the dealership I bought from rocks).

But what it does... is the faceplate will stay open (as if you were loading a CD). It says like that. You can take the plate off and the cage piece will go back. If you plug the face back in, after a few seconds the face will go back to the down position.
