Probe FS engine rebuild

I am having a problem putting my engine together, i got the rebuild kit today, and I got my crank ground to .010, i got .010 oversized bearings, well my problem it, when i tighten my main bearing cap bolts down, I followed all procedures from the manual, I can not turn the crank, i have to use a braker bar with all my body weight to get it to budge, I dont think this is normal, whats your opinions?

Tricky territory.....Be sure the main bearing shells have .010 stamped on the backs of them. Also buy or borrow a micrometer and measure the crankshaft main journals to see if they are .010" smaller than standard. Also, loosen each main cap one at a time and see when the crank turns freely. It may only be a problem with one journal. I usually torque one at a time and turn the crank as I go to be sure there are no problems. With no rods connected, you should be able to spin the crank by hand easily.

Could be an out of round rod. Loosen each rod cap individually and see if the crank turns with any of them loose. This happened to me on my last engine build.
