Pro5 Headlight Swap

As some of u know I work for Mazda and was curious to know if anyone thought of swapping the Pro5 headlights into the MSP....They look like they will fit with minor modifacations and with that at least u'll have a separate bulb for high and low beams...And u guys would be able to have an hid kit for the low without the worries of losing the high beam...just a thought. As I'm sittin hear at work bored staring at these cars.

I know, I just don't trust the overall realiability of those kits.....I heard some bad things about them.

I heard that the motor mechanism goes bad on the kits....either they get stuck in a position or end up not working at all after a lil while.....I'm only going by the stuff I hear....I have no personal experience with them though.

Just browsing the different car forums, I remember reading it. I like the look of having 2 bulbs.

DGM makes a 2 light kit. Rather costly though.

There is an H4 dual beam kit out there with NO MOVING PARTS!!!

It uses electronics to SHIFT the arc within the bulb, thereby changing the light pattern from low to hi beams...

In order to shift the output, there needs to be moving parts.

Our dual beam kits use a solenoid which pulls the capsule back and is spring loaded for return. The problems with the dual beam kits you are referring to are mostly the older retrofits that use a movable shield.... ours are of high quality and should not fail during the life of the capsule.
