I'm in the same boat and want to get a protune in the next couple of months, only problem is the $500 price tag. I think mostly everyone who has a protune from a reputable place is most likely happy with it. More power and more safety than any OTS maps from cobb or hypertech. The only problem with them is if you do any further modifications you run the high likely hood of messing up the tune so make sure you are either done with your mods, or talk to the tuner about any future mods you plan on doing and maybe they can offer you a follow up tune for a much lower price since they'll only have to do a little tweaking.

The only others mod I'm doing is a reworked Turbo an I'm done. Then will be looking at rims and
Maybe a system. Just not sure if I should go tune then reworked? ? What ever I get next will be it
Till next summer

If you plan on installing a modifed, larger turbo, you will want a tune for that. Simply put, running an OTS tune with the larger turbo can result in loss of power and or engine damage. You will basically NEED a tune for the turbo. In that sense, the tune is very much worth it and should be factored in as a cost of doing this modification.

Hey Travis,

Kind of on topic with this thread. I was hugely dissapointed that you guys stopped doing e-tunes as I am wanting a better tune but its very hard to justify $500+ in my life right now. Any thoughts about doing them again? or is that door closed forever? I know of one place that offers them, but I just don't trust it.
