I just completed a couple of searches, and did not find a thread with the info I'm looking for.

Basically I'm hoping to purchase a Protege5 within the next month, and was wondering how much I should expect to pay OTD for one?

I paid $16.200 for mine, which included a few options:

Car alarm
Cassette player
Wheel locks
Cargo net
Floor mats

$4k down @ 0% finance for 48 months - payments deffered until January 2003.

My payment is $269.73

Shell out a few bucks and get yourself a report at http://www.consumerreports.org ... I seriously think I saved close to 2 grand.

Use this as your starting point and try your best to deal with the Fleet Managers via email. Got my 2002.5 for 15,400 plus tax and title @ 2.9%
