Prices of Nice Deflectors???

Ola Peeps....hope everyone is doing great...my hood of my car now has a freaking chip...so I wanted to know how much a NICE deflector would be for our cars....and how much would u think fixing a chip would cost?? one more question...what's the difference between a regular hood and a carbon fiber hood?? I know sooo many questions so little time..

If you're seriously considering the CF hood, then I say buy one. They are lighter, stronger, and will not chip like our normal sheet metal hoods. A CF hood will save you some weight and it doesn't conduct heat like the factory hood. Proof of a carbon fiber hoods strength can be seen in my Clubphoto album. The link is in my sig. Subywan's wagon took quite a big front end smash and his carbon fiber hood had virtually no damage. If he had his factory hood on it would have been bent to all hell. the cost or repairing a chip in your hood will vary from shop to shop.....it could be anywhere from you should do it yourself with touch up paint.......to reqireing a shop to do it because the chip is accompanied with a DENT. You will need to check with some shops to find out exactly what it MAY cost you.

as far as a deflector.....are you refering to a Bra? if so...you can figure on somewhere in the neighborhood of $100 US for one...the dealer sells a nice one for our cars too.

well this may seem obvious...but a carbon fiber hood is exactly that...its MADE of carbon fiber....and your stock hood is made of metal.....then there are the pros/cons of each, which Apex mentioned.

My hood deflector was about 90.00 installed. That's Canadian. Don't get a bra. I've had many on previous cars. They just scratch up the paint. There are magnetic bra's though that work a little differently and are supposed to be quite good. i have a deflector on mine. Works like a charm. No chips on my hood yet.
