Previous Cars

hahahah...only owned one car before my P5...and i still miss her though people don't understand why...

1985 Oldsmobile Delta 88 LS...fully loaded with the fake velvet, cassete player (never worked), chrome wheel covers, and a trunk the size of my room...

my plan is still to find her and buy her back some day...

i'm 25 and the P5 is my 2nd car. I've had it over a year now bought it in Aug 2001.

I had a 1987 Ford Mustang GT. Beautiful car. I had it for4 years, still miss its growl when I fired it up in the morning. I put over 80k on it in 4 years, it had over 150k on the engine when i sold it, not a single problem, just needed new paint.

1996 Suzuki Sidekick Sport - 6 years
http://www.suzukiauto.com/sr97/veh_sport.html

for those who are thinking about buying a suzuki? DON'T, the engine had a piston failure in the 4th year, 6 months after warranty, I had to ask the dealership to get an used engine from junkyard, and it still costed me $4000CAD , not to mention other small/big defects...

2002 Mazda Protege 5 - 6 months

no problem so far except it need more power, paint is thin, and audio kinda sux.... wait just about everyone here have those problems :D

15. 91 Mazda Miata (sold to pay for school)
16. About 2 or 3 other various motorcycles

1980 toyota celica supra(p.o.s. 16yrs old when i was)
1986 oldsmobile firenza(bigger p.o.s., but hell on donuts in fields)
1993 mx6 ls(oh, how i miss her)
2001 MP3(you all know)

My first car was a 1986 Civic. I got it used and dumped about $6000 a year to keep it running. A week after the last $1200 bill the bloody engine ceased up. So I saved up and got my MP5. Oh what a difference. The only good thing about the civic was that it taught me how to recover from spins. It would lose one or 2 wheels brakes from time to time and get sideways at stops I eventually learned to expect it and would compensate for the skid when braking. And I guess the fact it was free was nice too. But I would not ever get another civic. I am so happy with my MP5.

Real cars:
- 88 Subaru DL which I learned to drive a 5 speed on. Traded in on a
- 95 Subaru Impreza L AWD(bought new). Put 79K on it, gave it to girlfriend (now wife) who drove it until 138K while I bought a used
- 95 Mazda MX-6 LS that I owned from 55K until 145K until I sold it for a
- 02.5 Protege5 that I have had for 2 months.
She sold the Impreza and bought an 01 Millenia

Fun cars:
1976 MGB ... bought it when I was 18 (still own)
1977 MG Midget ... very long term project (still own)

Plus a few other MGs I bought and sold but they never ran.

Drove a 1989 Dodge Grand Caravan. I hated her when I had it, but now that she is dead (totaled) I miss her. The van was fully loaded and had a very decent infinity sound system. I carry the key on my MP5 key chain as a remembrance of what I started with.

1990 Geo Prizm - Got it with 150,000 miles on it and drove the hell out of it. It was known among my circle of friends for its off road capability and high speed pursuit stories. To this day it remains world famous for legitimately destroying a Pontiac Firebird. Somewhere in the http://formen.ign.com archives (scary story 19) My brother owns it now with 200,000 miles on it and a trunk now full of SUBWOOFERS - ick.

1983 Ford Crown Victoria - Bought the car for $250, owned it for an hour then signed it over to my friend as a birthday gift. Driven through a fence, a tree, a garage and finally a house, causing thousand$$ in damage. No damage to the car. True American Steel. Fuel Injectors acted like carburetors, missing airbox and intake system. Given to the Salvation Army after that for a tax writeoff.

1993 Toyota Tercel - A little green gokart, with all of 85 horsepower and a 3 speed automatic. I miss the sharp handling and the fuel economy, I do not miss the exhaust system that kep falling off no matter who the hell worked on it. And I do not miss the Toyota parts PRICE$. But man, what a solid little tank. Bought it with 40,000 miles on it for $3500 from a desperate college student strapped for cash. Only problem was missing hubcaps. Sold it for $3000 to my girlfriend because it was the only car she could drive. She bought the car a week or so after she got her license.

2002 Mazda Protege5 - Compared to my other two cars, this thing feels like a rocketship. Once the turbo is installed it will be a rocketship.

My first car was '01 Nissan Sentra GXE (I was 16). Put 22,837 miles on it in just a year.

Traded for '02 Protege 5 this Sunday (09/01/02) Have 408 miles so far.
