Power steering pump whine

I have a 05 mazda3s 2.3 liter. The power steering pump whines when I turn the steering wheel. Anyone have this issue? I don't want to replace the pump if I don't have to.

Have you had the recall work done? If not, you might be able to get it fixed for free.

Didn't know there was a recall.. Do you know what the problem was?

No, I just know that they replaced my window wiper motor and my power steering for nothing at all. I would call your local Mazda dealer and they will ask for your VIN to see if you are eligible for anything.

I assume you checked the fluid level, correct?

i don't think 2005's are recalled but it is worth a check..

Go to the Dealer and ask to get the pump replaced on recall..
