If you try and open the lift gate with you interior button, while the engine is running, it will not open. However, depressing the exterior button will open the lift gate while running.
Simple test but I apologize if it’s been discussed. When running, put it in Park and hit the Door Unlock button. With all doors unlocked, the interior button should open the lift gate.
