power drop off

yeah thats what i was thinking. its the breaking in period or whatever. i'm not to worried about it. I dont think its me getting use to it either because 3rd gear isnt pulling as hard as it did the first few days. but idk. i'm sure its nothing to get worked up about, its so early.

It's funny you've mentioned the 3rd gear. When I was still breaking mine in, there were times where the 3rd gear felt slower then 4th. I don't know why, or what it was, but quiet a few times I was like wtf my 3rd doesn't pull that hard. But it all went away after some time.

yes... the turbo definitely prefers the cooler air... and it seems a bit more noticible in this car... it was hot and humid last week (into the 90s already! arggggg) and the car was a bit sluggish... today a cool front came in and it felt a little more crispy....

it did get a bit better mileage on the hot weather tank... i guess it makes sense...

mine pulls fine in 2nd and 3rd... i can feel the boost cut in 1st, for sure...

So all of us that mentioned our cars run slower in heat, is it because of the stock top mount? Or do folks with a front mount experience this too?
BTW it was 98 all last week in Orlando, talking about hot! My car showed abient temps at 102.

More heat = less dense air = less oxygen = less power

FMIC will get more air flow over the cooling fins, so it will suffer less from heat soak, but it will still show signs of it.
