A few weeks ago my key fob stopped opening my drivers door on my 2004 3/5door. It locked it, it opened all of the other doors. Just not the drivers door.
I took it to Mazda. They replaced the switch/actuator and it worked half the time. They traced the problem to the fuse box. It took them 9 days to get the fuse box. It seems like now the door panel is loose where the controls are. Maybe I just didn't notice it before.
They did treat me right though. They rented me a Ford Freestyle SUV. 9 days is long enough to tell me that the Japanese product has much better fit and finish. I was sure glad to get my M3 back.
