Are you trying to do this yourself? Keep in mind that anything that is powdercoated has to be baked in an oven so you will need a very large oven. I just had my wheels powdercoated by my friend last week. They used what is called glass black powdercoat, but I am not sure if it is commercially available or if it is a company specific product.

To get mine powdercoated first I sanded and cleaned the rims. I used 400 grit wet sandpaper. You just need to get all the clearcoat off. If you don't it will bubble under the powder when you bake it. I didn't spend much time sanding the back side of the wheel and it shows. This is probably the most important step is the sanding. I really don't care about the back much because you cant see it. Right before the wheel is powdercoated it is dipped in a chemical bath to cean it further. I think this may also be where the wheel receives the electrical charge to make the powder stick, but I could be wrong on that. I did not actually see the process on my wheels, but remember a TV show I saw a long time ago. After the wheel comes out of the bath the powder is sprayed on and then it is baked. Then it just needs to cool enough so you can touch it and you are good to go. Mine came out awesome. There are a couple little imperfections, but I got it all done for free so I couldn't be happier. I would not, however, reccomend that you go try this yourself. I know someone that has powdercoated small things themself, but they never came out this good. Sorry I don't have a better pic, but I am still waiting for 2 more things for my car before I do a real photoshoot.
