Powdercoated Sway bar

Got a question....one of the dealerships in winnipeg took my mp3 for about a week and a half a told me that they would fix my clunk problem for good.....well, a week and a half later, the car was in my hands and worse than ever. I noticed that they powdercoated the crap out of my sway bar.....now, i didn't give them permission to do this and i'm pretty pissed because it looks like sometime tarred the hell out of it... Is there anyway of getting it off so that its nice and red again, or am i screwed? I don't want to go to the hassle of forcing mazda to give me a new swaybar cause there so called "s*** fix" is as great as its name:mad:

Really though Dave, you have to make the dealership take responsibility for their actions. You never gave them permission to do what they did, so in my opinion they should have to replace the part(ESPECIALLY as they didn't even fix it anyhow!)

Thats right... if they did something you did nto ask for, and espescially if you are not happy with it.. bring it back and tell them to deal with it. If they say no, call Mazda head office... they will help you.

Have them put some REAL endlinks on there...wasn't that the main problem?

So get this.....I take it down to them and they said that they did nothing of the sort.....they just replaced the bushings....which was complete bulls***.....then, they told me that they won't replace anymore bushings until mazda has a fix....this is the second dealer that has told me this.....i'm so damn mad right now.....and i can't even b**** to mazdacanada because they're not open on the weekends. Then, he told me to stop complaining about it because everything that we're doing on the internet is counterproductive.....can you believe this! All we're trying to do is get what we rightfully deserve, hell if it wasn't for us, Mazda would probably just let it pass...... No more words can express the anger which i feel right now:mad:

I feel your pain dude.
The powder coat idea was brought up to me as well back in Oct,2002. Mazda of Canada are the ones that mentioned it to my dealer. Thankfully, my dealer had the brains to call around and see if it really was working before we did it to mine.....well, obviously, it doesn't work.

You should be getting a new sway bar. That no different then getting your car back, and they painted a bumper or door a different color.

Get em boy!
