Powder coating our rims?

BlackMSP

Someone try to photoshop powder coat them in black or white I think they would look SICK. I think instead of getting new rims im just going to powdercoat mine black. Do you know about how much it costs anyone? I heard around $200

I can't recall what it was exactly, but for 4 rims I had priced it was gonna be close to $500 total. That was with me dropping the rims off as is...If I prepped them, it would have been closer to $400. Most of what you are paying for is the amount of work they need to do, so if you save them time, they save you money.

Okay, scratch that...its been a while since i got that priced...i just did a search for it and found a company that'll do it for $180-$220 for all 4.

That sounds a little more reasonable...

If you caught one of my other posts about black rims, the downside to having them is you HAVE TO KEEP THE TIRES GLOSSY. Black rims and brown, faded looking tires will make your whole car look horrible. That, and the fact that you can't see the design of the rim as good, but black rims on a black car does lok pretty sweet.

hmm ill think about it then... I think I should go with more performance mods before I do this then... BTW where is that injen intake lol :o its been a while now hasnt it?

Photoshopped black MSP with black powdercoated rims

It's pretty crappy... but I'm tired and don't give a rat's ass.

that doesnt look too bad ! i wouldnt do that to the racing harts tho...

Aren't the MSP rims already powdercoated?

I think there are supposed to be some structural issues with double powdercoating alloy wheels...

the original coating will need to be stripped back down to the raw metal, etched with an abrassive grit and then colored. After that they have to be polished and clear-coated. Make sure you are getting all of that work for $180-220. I think $400 is CHEAP
