Duplicolor Graphite paint. After seeing replica's bronze, I'm gonna have to be a copycat and go bronze.
good God.. that looks sweet..I have a black Mica as well, and i didn't know you could just paint your wheels like that..
did you paint the whole wheel, i mean inside as well. or just the spoke with the little bit towards the inside, just like powdercoating.??
please let me know, i'm itching to get started.

thanks, man. they're actually a little darker in real life, which i like. the light reflecting off of them in the pics makes them look lighter than they are.
if you look at the wheel, there's a clear "face" on the wheel. i just sanded that part down and painted. some paint got on the inside, but you can't tell so much since there's brake dusk and dirt in there. i used a spare set of wheels that i bought, so i took my time, but you could easily do it in a day, or weekend.

i believe those are powdercoated.
im painting mine pink!! there just for auto x'ing and to be stupid cuz my buddy painted his stock WRX wheels bright Orange on a blue wrx for events just to be stupid. and they actually look good.haha i need to find some paint that will actually stick and look nicelike the duplicolor stuff.

what should i do with mine...some people like the color of the rims versus the white pin stripe on the car and others think i should powder coat the white motegi mr7 rims? what color should i powder coat them if and when i decide to? here's a pic:
How exactly do you apply the powdercoating? Is it in a spray form, or do you paint it on, or what?
I have the Duplicolor caliper painting kit, and was very pleased with it. Very straightforward, looks great, and pretty cheap.
Is the powder coating stuff available at any wal-mart or autozone place?
...oh, and does anybody think any other color besides gun metal and dark gun metal would look good on a yellow p5? Thanks!

I supppose i will go ahead and use my duplicolor bronze that i bought about 4 months ago. Ive been too scared to use it until i saw it on a car.

take your time and it'll turn out very well. i just noticed two rock chips on one of mine today, but the other three wheels are still flawless.

nope, i just sanded them down, wiped off all the dust and then painted away. i don't remember the paint having a hard time going on smooth. all of the uneven-ness (is that a word?) came from me overspraying it. all i would do was sand the section down after it dried and repainted it.
