Damn man i thought forsure i had the most miles, im at 73k. Good job....

The paint chipping around the rear doors drives me nuts too, i thought front mudflaps would stop this but they didnt. And were not gonna get into the problems ive had with my car.....

I bought the paint protection plan. I wonder if that covers chipping? I know it covers fading. If the paint fades they paint that entire piece. I wonder if I can make the car fade before the protection ends....

Oh, and 2004 S, had 400 miles, bought in Feb. 05, has 33k miles on it.

My dealer gave that to us for free when we got our mazda 3 The Simoniz complete care system its a teflon clear cloat that bonds to the paint preventing fade and corrosion from acid rain bugs bird s*** amongst other chemicals that can sit and damage paint along with enterior protection from stains as well

The whole thing runs about 5 or 600 so getting it free was a good time doesnt cover paint chips from rocks,

okay sorry for thread jacking there but my mileage is 19,140 hit that today on my trip back from chicago

2006 Mazda 3s 2.3 Manual - got it Feb 1, already at 9500+ miles in under 5 months. Only problem I have is the headlights seem to be horribly aimed. I can only see maybe 50ft down the road. I tried raising them and aiming them properly on a wall and it still doesn't seem right. I might try again or bring it to the dealer to check it. I also notice that any slight crosswind will take my car for a ride on the highway. It's quite annoying, but doesn't seem like there's much I can do. Other than that I love it, it's pretty quick, I easily take all the jerks on the highway that think they can drive.

'04 2.3L 5-speed HB. She will be two on August 14th. 137 miles when I bought her, has 22K (and new tires) now.
Average MPG 26 w/a moderate to heavy foot.
Best MPG to date, 32.3 MPG over a 1600 mile trip.
Some annoyances I would hope Mazda has worked on but all in all, no problems... unless you count my dealer's service dept. thinking that every customer is an idiot that knows nothing about what they're driving.
I would consider buying another 3.

'06 Mazda 3s sedan, bought in October '05, have 20k on it already. I thought I was chuggin through miles quicker than the average joe. But, after reading this thread, it seems people who drive 3's aren't average drivers either.

I recently decided to drop my cruise control set speed from 75 mph on my commute to 70 mph to see what difference I would get in mileage. The difference has been quite large, increasing by 2 to 4 mpg. The first round trip with no real city driving was 36.4 mpg. Even with A/C, it's still been around 34.x. Now, I do have a taller fifth gear (5% lower engine speed) from NSN Motorsports, which increased mileage for me a little bit (but not as much as I've seen from driving a little slower. With this gear, 70 mph is just barely under 3000 RPM.

'06 mazda3 touring sedan,grey,6disc-changer. Only had for 4weeks,got about 760miles on it. NO problems so far except little road noise...

2005 3SP, 2.3 Manual, 4dr sedan... bought at 5 miles and now 18 months later 19500.

I love the car more than I love most people!!! jk, the comercials are not false... they are so fun to drive, no major issues except one but I sapose could be my fault not sure, need to replace clutch already at 19500 miles and the parts are near imposable to get even through Mazda dealers, they do not have a clutch kit yet for the 3 i,s,sp and need to order all parts seperate, wear and tear not covered of course so dealer wanted 1500.00+ and I had to laugh, so I guess I am learning to change a clutch myself, with help of course! but for those with AC issues, there is a switch that allows air to be brought in from outside or to switch it as a continuouse conditioning of internal air only, well if you continuously condition the internal air I am sure you will chill your A$$ off! The car internal sensors are very touchy... but thank god for warrenty to have it diognosed and reset, the car does turn a lot of heads but as more and more after market parts (mods, body kits, so on) come out I am sure will turn almost everyones! Some pasanger door raddle with mid to high bass.

But over all it is my only bill I don't mind paying each month, and gas yeah it's expensive, but will always buy it to drive it!

Master Z,
A clutch already? You must be very hard on it. May I suggest that you look into an aftermarket Stage 1 clutch kit?

2004 3S 5-Sp. HB, 2 years on the 14th (4 days from this post.) 23,409 miles.
Tires @ 20K, no other (other than we normally complain about here) problems.
