I just ordered my 3 from the dealer. S, touring, auto, sedan, copper red. It will be 4-6 weeks until it is here.
As a consumer I worried about the problems that have been posted about the car.
The problem is I think I was looking for problems and not reading about all the people that have not had any and love their car.

Please post your mileage, year, i or s, and any major problems (not things like glove box not fitting).

had mine since aug 04, its a hatch and i have 28k on it. no major issues, the few things i have compliants on there is a tsb on it so i would say i am a very happy customer!

Well for the first year I worked Downtown in my City (Montreal) and I could buy a second car with the ammount they ask for Parking in Downtown Montreal (shocked) , So I took the Subway to work because I could only afford the cost of one car.

Let me tell you taking the subway after buying your first car is tough! Im Glad THats over with, Im not at the same Job anymore.

Every oil change people think Im lying about the kilometers or the Modle year, people are stunned to see a 2002 car with that few kilometers on her.

So far the Biggest repair she had was getting the complete shifter assembly replaced (Bar, bushings, everything) I was at the track and repeadedly doing burn outs and launches from 5k rpm's during wheel hop I would just hold the shifter in place to kace sure she dont pop out. After a few weeks the shifter started chirping. and the lever was leaning tword the driver quite a bit. I brought it to Mazda and they replaced it at no cost.

04 Mazda 3s Hatch (Owned for 30 months)
purchased with 240 miles
Nobody can touch these miles----80,000 miles to date.
The only problems that I have had so far were :
- airbag sensor going bad multiple times
- rattling in the hatch area(prob from my system knocking things
loose),
- the carpeting is cheap and wearing in drivers side by heal and on
right edge of dead pedal area.
- rear passenger door jam area has paint chipping that is another
common thing in the 3. The paint is cheap but looks very nice.

I think thats it.

Damn man i thought forsure i had the most miles, im at 73k. Good job....

The paint chipping around the rear doors drives me nuts too, i thought front mudflaps would stop this but they didnt. And were not gonna get into the problems ive had with my car.....

Yeah i used to do sales for Pepsi and then i gotta job thats 35 miles from home, so 70 round trip. And on school days im lookin at about 120 miles for the day.

'06 3 S Touring 5-door Manual. Got it in early November 2005, little less than 7k miles on it. Exceeded my expectations, I was initially thinking to buy a Mazda6, then decided it was more car than I needed, went for the 3 and never looked back!! (first)

Minor issues:
- Intermittent rattle coming from the right side of the center console (right next to the shift stick)
- Two or three times the clock has lost 15 minutes....

Other than that.... Wicked fun car to drive, I'd definitely buy it again. Better yet, I'd trade it in for a Mazdaspeed3 if I could.(laugh)

'04 S, 53000 miles.. 45000 on 2nd motor.. bought july of '04.. driven total of 20 months because car was in shop for a month.. i love the car but hate myself for buying an automatic.. have had no problems with it since blowing motor except PCV valve which is TSB..

dont know about anyone else but mine kind of ate itself into bits and pieces.. o well.. i still love the car.. except for the automatic like i previously stated!
