I will never sell...especially seeing that your mods alone were probably 2x the price of the car without the car!!

New gt3071 will be here monday but for now

-see mods in my sig
+new n/a "0psi mod" with dead turbo!

I like the car, I just want a panda style Evo IIIV, no wing. I need more top end power is the thing, this turbo falls off badly up top. Combine that w/ my tranny set-up and all the thing does is spin the tires...and I hate spinning tires, really. I could be going 40mph, step on it and the thing is loose. I need boost to redline, not just break-neck low to mid power. And also...I'm just too cheap to blow 1,300 on a new larger turbo right now.

14 psi, stock internals (have spare built motor waiting lol)

Here's just some mods;

MAM Thumper Kit w/ T3/T4 Turbo
Turbonetics Evolution wastegate
Turbonetics Raptor BOV
3" stainless downpipe
3" intake
2.5" Megan cat-back
2.5" MAM catted mid-pipe
AWR Motor Mounts
IM and TB spacers
UR underdrive crank pulley
Custom 10 pt. grounding kit
550cc injectors
EBay Oil Block adaptor
Derale Combo Tranny (4-pass)/Oil (6-pass) Cooler
Exedy Stage 1 Clutch
Welded MSP LSD
Fidanza 7lbs Flywheel
Microtech LT10S w/ Hand Controller

get a GT3582R turbo modified to spool faster and you'll never have problems having power on all power band, low, mid and top end... i raced my friend's Gallardo, and i beat him from 65 to 170 mph, he took me past that for obvious reasons, he have 6 gears tranny with mad top end, also he have a Lambo and i have a Damn protege.. but still i beat him so, you might want to take that into consideration these cars with some money on it are well worth it.. I really don't know what's going on with people sweating so much the Evo's, with all my respect to the owners, they ain't all that s*** people thinks.. insurance are more expensive, parts are more expensive, AWD system are heavier and more expensive when they break, i don't know man just my .02 cent's I'll never trade or sell my car to get any evo, don't matter if they have 1000 HP, too many already on the streets, but how many 300,400 or 550 HP protege's have you seen around town ? again just my .02 cents, i like to be rare or unique and not another from the bunch..

First of all, your car is all business...especially if you're racing Gallardos, haha. That thing is nice, nice job. The reason I'm "sweating an Evo" is because it's my personal preference as to what I spend my $30,000 on. I like how they look, they're fast right out-of-the-box, good aftermarket support...AWD. That's why, I can't speak for others though.

This protege is a economy family car, sporting a turbo and rims. I want a true enthusiast car. Another good reason is, I don't want this FWD car to have much more power, torque steer is a b**** already. FWD cars were not meant to have power like this. It's great that you want to be away from the "bunch", but If I want a certain car and it happens that many others have that car...I don't care, I'm getting it for me. The same god damn day I registered my MSP, I was out driving to the wash and in 20 minutes I saw 3 other MSP's.....I wanted to freak the **** out. I see an Evo maybe once a month around here, so speak for yourself about "apart from the bunch".

It's funny how people rag on the type of car another wants. I'm glad you love your 500hp Protege..you kinda have no choice after spending the money you have spent on it...correct ? In my eyes, any year Evo is better looking, and better performing than the MSP. That's enough reason for me but I could go on. Don't get me wrong, I like my MSP etc..but I want something else man..

HAHAHAHA I NEVER see any MSP, I see EVO's and STi's all the Effin time...

And for autoX'in you will get more Rep, racing in a MSP then a Evo.\

And yes, EVO's look nice, but they break down like a Mofo, I have a friend that traded his in for a Mugan SI, just cause he got tired of the Evo Breaking under any mods he puts on it.

DSM's <3 to break, you will spend more money fixing the evo then fixing a MSP.

I couldn't believe it either, and to make it worse I saw a Yellow, Blue, and Titanium.....it was like Bizzaro world. I really rarely see Evos around here, and if I do it's old men driving them. I'm not worried about my auto-X rep, because well, I don't auto-X. I don't think a DSM product is going to break any more than a turbo ford motor in a Mazda suit.. DSM has a long record of producing boosted sport compacts, that we all know. Your last statement is based on nothing but one instance... Your buddy must've really hated the Evo to trade for a Mugen Si, that thing is ricey as rice gets, nice motor though.

Nooo man, I owned a DSM b4 this car.... and it kept breaking, ask any car forum on the internet, DSM's break. And those DSM making huge boost, go read up on them, to get to that point they break alot, and when u boost like that, you will end up breaking somehting.

I owned a Eclipse, and i kept having trans issues, which is common for DSM's.

If you want a great power and AWD, its much better to go with a STi. but before u say "I see them alot" Im talking about a Forester With the STI motor. My one friend has one with stright cut gears and many other mods, and it owns evos easily. And no one really has one :D

Well, I'd like to think that the build quality of an Evo is above the build quality of a 3rd gen Eclipse(assuming). I think almost all professional shootout articles would disagree with the statement that the STI is better. I'm not a fan of the Forester, too granny loooking.

Show me articles.... THEY ARE THE ABOUT SAME. I dont know what your reading man....

On the Top Gear track the Evo8 was only 2 seconds faster then the STI Which isnt much to me.

The Numbers of weight vs HP is almost the same aswell. But i never hear a STI break down I usually hear more of a EVO.

I do Love the EVO, but i dont like hearing aobut them breaking as much as i do, and from what i hear around the STi is more reliable.

Eaither way, a GT-R is better. LOL

Honda-Eater u must have a huge population of msps in ur area. All of last year i saw 1 msp thats excluding meets. I never see them on the road, well besides mine. I see evos and stis all the time. You go to ur nearest starbucks or barnes and nobles and ull find one there.
And Im assuming ur making some good money. Because maitence(spelling?) on those things are not cheap. But if u got the dough all the power to you, they do look sexy as hell.
