H&R springs , 15x7.5 6UL's , 225/45/15 hankook RS3s

Nice Strange! How's it ride with those 225's? Nickel 6ULs, right?

Mine should end up looking close once I get the wheels -- I went with silver and 205s.

They are the Nickel finish and ride well . No issues with rubbing or clearance with the drop . Lost about 2 mpg going from stock size to steam rollers , but the steering feel and grip that won't quit are worth a few Mpgs .

General question: I am about to buy a Mazda2 Sport in the UK. I will have to lower it and replace wheels. Why do hardly any of you use 17" and also no-one has posted an 18" photo?

Also, all of the photos on here are 5door. Are the 3doors undesirable?

Hope you can help, Neil

Most users here are in the US as far as I know and we don't have the 3-Door model.
Also few members used 17" wheels with fender rolling but 18"s were too big.

I have 17's on mine as do some other guys on here. Most Mazda 2 owners on here like the smaller wheels because they are lighter and help fuel efficiency. I've noticed that with my 17's there isn't a dramatic decrease in fuel efficiency.

Oh! It's completely desirable but Mazda decided we weren't worthy enough to have the 3 door model in the US.

In my opinion, the 2 is too small for anything above 16's. I love my 15's, and I think they look nice.

I don't like the way the 3 doors look, personally.

I like it for the performance aspect, as well as better fuel efficiency.

Mine are 17"s and I love the performance street wise and have not noticed any drop in efficiency. Also my set up is only 4pounds heavier per wheel and tire vs the stock. More wheel less tire. But I prefer my 15s on track days.

3 different wheel specs:

15x7.5 949 Racing 6UL's, 205/50 and 225/45/15 Nitto NT-01's, s*** load of a drop over stock, KSport coils, no rear threaded locking collars in the rear, H&R Camber Bolts with no camber (blame my former alignment guy)

And I'll get some pics of my new setup on the ASA's with 205/50/15 Falken Azenis RT-615's. Rubs like a b**** allllll the time at my ride height on stock fenders.

Well. Now it depends on price. Cause I like the look of the STD. And with damper adjustment is another bonus.

I think the STD product looks good too. Seems like a great option for a track car. They look high quality and well built, and I'd be surprised if the price didn't reflect that. But with no prices on the website, I am certainly curious.
