Post your computer specs!

I got nothing against Intel. I just prefer AMD hehe.

the fact that I have a p3 still running strong is a testament(SP) to the quality of processors we have available to us.

I have 5 game worthy boxes two A64's one with two 6600GT's clocked to 570/1200 and other has a 9800Pro at 422/732. Both have a gig of RAM and both are overclocked. One is a DFI SLI board running 300x'9 with 3x HTT for a 2.7GHz 3000+ Venice and the other is an old 2800+ Newcastle running 2.4GHz. They both perform fairly well.
The other two are ok one is a P4 2.4c at 3.3GHz with a 9800Pro set to 411/732 and the 4th is a mobile 2500+ XP running 2.4GHz with a 9800Pro set to 400/720. All machines have a gig of varing speed RAM from 3200-3700 Corsair.
Then there is the 3.6GHz Prescott core laptop. It has a 17'' widescreen, a full 10key and a PCIe X700 overclocked to 450/650. 1 gig of DDR2 blah blah.
I also have a 2.4 non c clocked to 3GHz sitting in the closet LOL!

Even though I make sure I have pretty damn good hardware, I never got into fancy cases or lights or anything. I don't see the point. The computer sits in a room, its not like your show casing it around or anything. If you playing a video game, the other guy who your pwning doesnt care about your neon.

Neons help you score...here's how:

Girl walks into your dorm or apartment and sees your case.
She asks, "Wow, is that a computer? Where did you get that? I like all the lights and stuff"
You say, "Ya, I built it that way"
She says, "Wow, you can build computers?"
You say, "Yup"

One Week Later

Girl calls, "Hey, Remember me? I'm having a problem setting up my computer, could you give me a hand?"
You say, "Sure"

And Presto...Quasi-Date. Give's you a chance to talk to her and show her that you're not just a dork who has neon's in his computer. The trick to pulling this off successfully is not actually talking about computers while you fix hers. That will dub you the "computer-fixer-guy" and nothing more. Make sure you talk about cool things, like racing auto-x and the party you are having next weekend.

I agree, I just built my PC about a week and a half ago, and I bought all high end components, but just a plain ol $28 black case.

Was true for me, in college I had my nice black case with a large window on side. I take pride in cable management, so all you see in my case is the MB and HS along with the PCI cards and Video Card being illuminated by 2 12'' blue lights. Girls LOVED my case and i luckily never had to fix TOO many pc's but you do get a lot of girl attention for a nice PC. Wireless keyboards and mice help, along with having your PC hooked up to a mid grade surround sound set up hehe.

I have mine hooked up to a an Onkyo Reciever with a Klipsch 10'' Sub and Klipsch Quintet II Surround sound speakers with Center channel, the setup rocks.

meh... I think all that matters is what is at the heart of the system, not what it looks like, as long as it looks clean. I have an anodized aluminum antec case.

http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=81600#

It has every type of port on the front, alot of bays, nice amount of space. It has 3 blue LEDs on the front and 2 thermostats. It looks nice and clean, and best of all, its quality. I have heard the difference between quality fans/power supplys and crappy ones. This case gives very good cooling and its quiet. My power supply is also antec. With this thing packing two 10k raptors, all I hear is a slight whisper.

This seems silly to me, ... but then again i've been married for 4 years and with the same girl for 9. So if it works for you then more power to you! If i had a riced out case like that my wife would laugh at me. And to be honest I'd laugh at myself. Other than the dual 19" flatscreens my system is a sleeper I guess.

But hey, to each their own right?

PS. The system I stated above is the system I built for my work design station. I run a Dell Desktop with a Celeron 433 at home for the internet.

P4's lick balls, in every test they suck ass compared to the FX55, and now that the FX57 and X2s are out intel should just get down on their knees while they still can to avoid embarrisment
