Post The Best Pictures of Your Mazda

I'm sure it was a nice ride, but I could never understand the style of that car. So many lines, swirls, and shapes. Almost cartoonish.

I'm glad YOU said that. They've never quite done it for me, style-wise either.
The front end just looks too bulky too.

Here are some pictures I took of my truck yesterday. I can't decide on which one I like best.

My current wallpaper

I like this one (your current wallpaper) the best.
You might consider dropping out some of the sepia in that third pic too, and perhaps adding a little blurry/softness/noise effect (in that order) to make it look older. The sepia as it is is too distracting... too much.
If you have the software to do it, blur the building in the bg. Though it may be old, the work is obviously new, using new materials.
Or, simply try a B&W photo w/o the sepia?

Just my.02.

Is that a '50? It looks like a truck my older brother had many years ago... his was even primered, though gray primered. Starter was on the floor, as was the three speed shifter in trans. I'm sure it wasn't the original trans though.
That thing was a bear of a truck. I got to drive it maybe once before the engine blew (I was about 14) and he sold it for parts.

You know, I used to think that generation of Tiburon were just "no alibi" ugly, overdone in the design department to appeal to the low-income customer that Hyundai was targeted at in the U.S. Then one day last year I was parked nose to nose with one and took a good, long, hard look at it.

The lines in the front are astounding: the curves of the hood, the 4 small, round lights, the body line from the side of the hood circles around the corner light and flows into the line of the front of the hood. In all there's lots of really nice elements that just completely fail to combine into a cohesive whole! So, they're still ugly, but it seems like they really tried! (dunno)

Anyway, take a close look at one sometime. As long as you are too close to see the whole thing, you might notice some really interesting details! ;)

The redesigned tiburon looks much better than the first gen IMO. I was thinking of buying one before I got the pro.

I didnt know those things were turbocharged! do they come stock like that or did you do the turbo setup?

suspension was fully designed by porsche, exterior was designed by Pininfarina. not even any mazda's have that claim for such a prestine heritage. ;)

mine was a 2nd gen tiburon, 1st gens were 97-99. they are not boosted stock.

had this along with the turbo also.

keep in mind ive been in the mazda group for much longer, the tibby was my daily driver/ show car. turbo mazda's have allways been my source for actual toy's. but too many people have zero idea of the capability of the older gen tiburons. stock vs stock, ive never been in a better handling car right out of the box. and when i was done with it, there wasnt many that could compare even built.

well Ive never driven one, but by chance have you driven a MSP? cause imo its really hard to beat that suspension out of the box...

nice car though man, very nicely done (thumb)

^

actually i have, a friend has a gunmetal one with mild bolt on's. it does handle very nice actually. but even out of the box, its a full aftermarket suspension. if i remember right, it was like tokiko blue's, and racing beat springs.

im a big friend of proteges in general actually. im still looking for a replacement daily driver since i no longer have the tib, been looking at P5's a bit.

yea, its got a full racing beat suspension (sway bars, strut brace, etc...), with tokico blue shocks

but you cant say the tiburon isnt aftermarket either if hyundai didnt design it =P

Ill have to drive one one day just to see how it handles, Im quite curious now haha

and if your looking for a replacement daily driver you really wouldnt go wrong with a msp...4 doors, practical...handles great, with turbo out of the box too so if you wanna have some fun you can

p5s great too, but minus the turbo/suspension =P

an msp would be fun, but we allready have one 4 door mazda sedan in the house.

sitting on the full K-Sport suspension, with racingbeat sway bars and upgraded endlinks. within a year hopefully ill finally have enough for the HiBoost turbo kit to make it's speed match the suspension on it. (if you cant tell, i go all out on suspension, going fast in corners is funner then a straight line any day!)

my dream is to find an original dodge colt GT turbo. its what my 1st car was, and ive wanted another since i got rid of it. for now im sitting on my insurence check for the tib till i find the exact car that calls to me. till then i have my winter beater probe to drive (mazda built ftw!)

lol

then looks like you got that base covered haha

I liked they way that mazda went with every single version of the new generation 3's and 6's...they just look gorgeous...
heh, I would get a speed 6 in a heartbeat but Im dreamin there lol
