Not, not at all. I've considered doing it, but have even attempted. Just saw it and thought I would say something. I assumed it's pinned out with two positives and two negatives? Does the adapter convert 120V to 12V (12-14)?

the top two are basically to trigger the power supply to turn on (they run to the halogen bulb)

then i use the right side pins for power and ground
